Connecting MeetMatch to Zapier

Step-by-step guide to generate an API key and build your first Zap.

1Create a MeetMatch API key

  1. In MeetMatch, go to Settings and find the Zapier & API Keys section.
  2. Click Create API Key and make sure both the read and write scopes are selected.
  3. Copy the key — it starts with mm_live_. For security it is shown only once, so copy it before closing the dialog.
Keep the key private. If it is ever exposed, revoke it from the same screen and create a new one.

2Connect in Zapier

  1. In Zapier, create a Zap and search for MeetMatch.ai as the app.
  2. When prompted to connect an account, paste your mm_live_… key into the API Key field.
  3. Click Yes, Continue. The connection label shows your organization name, confirming the right account is linked.

3Build a trigger Zap (MeetMatch → other apps)

  1. Choose a trigger such as New Appointment Booked.
  2. Select your MeetMatch connection and click Test trigger — Zapier pulls a recent record so you can map the fields.
  3. Add an action step in any other app (for example, send a Slack message or add a Google Sheets row) and map MeetMatch fields like prospect name, email, scheduled time, and status.
  4. Turn the Zap on. New bookings flow through within seconds.

4Build an action Zap (other apps → MeetMatch)

  1. Start your Zap with any trigger (for example, a new row in a spreadsheet or a new lead from a form).
  2. Add the Create Contact or Create Deal action and select your MeetMatch connection.
  3. Map the incoming fields — Create Contact needs at least Full Name and Email.
  4. Test the step. The new contact or deal appears in your MeetMatch CRM. Creating a contact with an email that already exists returns the existing record instead of a duplicate.

5Troubleshooting

  • "Authentication failed" — the API key was revoked or mistyped. Create a fresh key in Settings → Zapier & API Keys and reconnect.
  • Action returns a permission error — your key is missing the write scope. Recreate it with both read and write selected.
  • Trigger finds no sample — your account has no recent records of that type yet. Create one (for example, book a test appointment) and click Find new records.
