Notification Preferences

Control how and when MeetMatch notifies you about chat messages and updates.

1Push notifications

When you install the MeetMatch app and grant notification permission, you will receive push notifications for:
  • New chat messages in channels you have not muted.
  • Direct messages from teammates.
Push notifications are delivered to all devices where you are subscribed (phone, tablet, desktop). If the same notification fires on multiple devices, the service worker collapses them by channel so you only see one per conversation.

2Per-channel muting

You can mute any chat channel to stop receiving push notifications and email digests for it. Open the channel and click the speaker icon in the header bar. Muted channels still appear in your channel list and you can read messages at any time — they just will not interrupt you. To unmute, click the speaker icon again. The icon turns red when a channel is muted.

3Email digests

MeetMatch sends email digests to team members who have unread chat messages and are not actively using the app. Digests group messages by channel and include previews of the most recent messages. Email digests are sent automatically every 10 minutes while you are offline. If you have push notifications enabled, you will not receive email digests — push takes priority.

4Troubleshooting notifications

If notifications are not working:
  • Check browser permissions — go to your browser settings and make sure meetmatch.ai is allowed to send notifications.
  • Check device settings — on iOS, go to Settings > Notifications and make sure the MeetMatch app has notifications enabled.
  • Re-subscribe — open the Chat page and click the bell icon to re-enable push.
  • Clear service worker — in Chrome DevTools, go to Application > Service Workers and click Unregister, then reload the page.
