Cloud Storage & Recording Retention

Understand how call recordings are stored, billed, and retained.

1How cloud storage works

When a sales call is recorded via MeetMatch Video, the recording is automatically uploaded to cloud storage. Both server-side recordings (captured via LiveKit Egress when 2+ participants are present) and local browser recordings are stored and counted toward your organization's monthly quota. Storage usage resets on the first of each month.

2Storage by plan

  • Free — no cloud storage included.
  • Team — 50 GB per seat per month (e.g. a 10-seat team gets 500 GB). Recording quality is capped at Standard (480p).
  • Pro — 200 GB per seat per month with metered overage at $0.50/GB. Recording quality up to HD (720p).
  • Enterprise — unlimited storage. Full HD (1080p) available.
You can see your current usage on the Settings → Billing page. A progress bar shows how much of your included quota is consumed.

3Storage overage (Pro plans)

Pro organizations with a Stripe subscription automatically have metered storage overage enabled. If you exceed your included quota, additional storage is billed at $0.50 per GB per month, rounded up to the nearest GB. Overage charges appear on your next invoice. Team plans can opt into overage billing from Settings → Advanced — once enabled, recordings continue past the quota at $0.50/GB.

4Video recording upload (opt-in)

By default, MeetMatch uploads audio-only dual-track recordings after each call. This keeps storage usage low while still providing full transcription, AI summaries, and coaching. Admins can enable Video Recording Upload in Settings → Advanced to also upload the composite video (all camera feeds + screen share). Video files are significantly larger — a 30-minute call in Standard quality produces ~30 MB of audio but ~300 MB of video. When video upload is enabled, the recording player on the Meeting Notes page shows a video player instead of audio-only. Transcript segments are clickable and sync with the video playback.

5Video auto-delete

When video recording upload is enabled, an additional toggle appears: Auto-Delete Video After Retention (on by default). When enabled, video files are automatically deleted when they exceed your retention window, while audio recordings follow the standard retention policy. Admins can disable video auto-delete to keep videos indefinitely. Videos still count against your storage quota, so monitor your usage if you keep them long-term.

6Recording retention

Admins can configure how long recordings are kept before automatic deletion. Go to Settings → Advanced and use the Recording Retention slider.
  • Team — default 30 days, configurable up to 365 days.
  • Pro — default 90 days, configurable up to 365 days.
  • Enterprise — unlimited retention (set to "Never").
Expired recordings are automatically deleted daily at 3 AM UTC. Deleted recordings cannot be recovered — download important recordings before they expire.

7Recording quality and storage impact

The recording quality setting (in Settings → Advanced) directly affects storage consumption:
  • Standard (480p) — ~60 MB per hour of recording. Available on all paid plans.
  • HD (720p) — ~150 MB per hour. Requires Pro or Enterprise.
  • Full HD (1080p) — ~300 MB per hour. Requires Enterprise.
Lower quality settings let you store more recordings within your plan's quota. Quality options above your plan level appear locked in Settings with a badge showing the required plan.

8Auto-recording

Recording starts automatically when the salesperson joins a MeetMatch Video call — no manual action required. This ensures every sales conversation is captured for AI analysis. Reps can stop and restart recording at any time using the controls in the top-right corner of the video room. Additionally, server-side recording (higher quality, captured on the backend) auto-starts when a second participant joins the call.
