Team Policies for Admins

Control video providers, meeting types, and onboarding requirements for your team.

1What are team policies?

Team policies let admins control what team members can and must do. They're set at the organization level and apply to all non-admin members. Policies are configured in SettingsGeneralTeam Policies.

2Require MeetMatch Video (block external video)

This is enabled by default for all new organizations. When turned on:
  • Team members cannot connect Zoom, Webex, or Google Meet from the Availability page, Calendar Settings, or onboarding wizard.
  • The event type editor only shows MeetMatch Video, Phone, In Person, and Custom as location options — Zoom and Google Meet are hidden.
  • If a member tries to connect Zoom or Webex directly via the API, they're redirected back with an explanation message.
  • Admins are always exempt — they can still connect and manage external providers.
Why is this the default? MeetMatch Video includes AI call summaries, coaching scores, transcript analysis, competitor detection, and local recording at no extra cost. Using the built-in video trains your routing model faster and provides more revenue insight than external tools. Teams that standardize on MeetMatch Video see the most value from the Intelligence features.

3Allowed meeting types

When "Require MeetMatch Video" is turned off, a second panel appears where you can pick exactly which meeting location types are available:
  • MeetMatch Video — always enabled, cannot be removed.
  • Google Meet — requires a Google Calendar connection.
  • Zoom — requires a Zoom connection.
  • Phone Call
  • In Person
  • Custom / TBD
These filters apply to the event type creation dropdown. Team members can only select from the allowed types when setting up new events.

4Require calendar connection

When enabled, team members must connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook during onboarding. This ensures every rep has real-time availability sync so prospects never double-book.

5Require availability setup

When enabled, team members must set their working hours during onboarding before they can receive any bookings. This prevents new reps from being scheduled outside their preferred hours.

6Where policies are enforced

Policies are enforced across every surface in MeetMatch:
  • Onboarding wizard — Zoom card is hidden; event type defaults to MeetMatch Video.
  • Availability page — Zoom and Webex providers are removed from the "Other calendars" section.
  • Calendar Settings — blocked providers are hidden with a green notice banner.
  • Event type editor — the location dropdown only shows allowed types.
  • API routes — Zoom and Webex OAuth endpoints check the policy and redirect non-admin members back with an error if blocked.
Admins are never restricted by these policies, so they can always test or manage integrations.
