Call Intelligence for Sales Teams Without the $100/Seat Price Tag
Gong and Chorus charge $100+/seat for call recording and AI analysis. MeetMatch includes call intelligence at $50/seat because the video is built in. Here's what you get and how it works.
Call intelligence has become a must-have for serious sales teams. Recording calls, transcribing conversations, surfacing buying signals, and coaching reps based on real data instead of gut feel. The problem isn't whether you need it. The problem is pricing.
Gong charges somewhere between $100 and $150 per seat per month, with annual contracts and minimum seat counts that push the effective cost higher. Chorus (now part of ZoomInfo) bundles call intelligence into a platform that starts at similar price points. For a 10-person sales team, you're looking at $12,000 to $18,000 per year just for conversation analytics. That's on top of your scheduling tool and your video conferencing license.
MeetMatch includes call intelligence on the Pro plan for $50/seat/month. No separate tool. No separate video platform. No additional contracts.
This isn't a stripped-down version with an asterisk. Here's what you actually get.
What MeetMatch call intelligence includes
When a meeting ends on MeetMatch's built-in video, the post-call pipeline runs automatically. No manual upload, no "bot" joining your Zoom call, no third-party recording integration.
AI transcription with speaker diarization. The call recording is processed through OpenAI's Whisper API with verbose timestamps. Heuristic speaker diarization identifies who said what. Each segment is stored with speaker role (rep vs. prospect), text, start time, end time, and confidence score.
Talk-time analytics. For every call, MeetMatch calculates:
- Talk ratio (how much each person spoke)
- Silence detection (dead air that may signal disengagement)
- Question counting per speaker
- Interruption frequency
- Response latency (how quickly each party responds)
- Words per minute
- Filler word counting (um, uh, like, you know)
AI-generated meeting summary. After transcription, the full transcript is sent to an LLM for structured analysis. You get:
- A concise summary
- Key points discussed
- Action items
- Questions asked by the prospect
- Objections raised
- Buying signals
- Competitor mentions
- Next steps
- Overall sentiment and sentiment trajectory through the call
DISC communication profiling. Based on speaking patterns, word choice, pace, and interaction style, MeetMatch predicts each participant's DISC profile. This helps reps adapt their communication style for future conversations.
All of this shows up on the appointment detail page in the dashboard. No separate app, no switching tabs.
Call Intelligence: Feature Comparison
MeetMatch bundles scheduling, video, and call intelligence. Competitors require separate tools for each.

Why MeetMatch can offer this at $50/seat
The reason call intelligence tools are expensive isn't the AI. OpenAI Whisper transcription costs cents per hour of audio. LLM summarization costs a fraction of a cent per call. The actual AI processing for a 30-minute sales call is under $0.50.
The reason Gong charges $100+/seat is the infrastructure. They need to:
- Join your Zoom/Teams/Meet call as a bot participant
- Record the call from the bot's perspective
- Store that recording in their cloud
- Process it after the fact
- Build and maintain integrations with every video platform
That architecture is expensive to operate and fragile to maintain. Every time Zoom changes an API, every time Teams updates their bot framework, every time Google Meet adjusts permissions, Gong has to update their integration.
MeetMatch skips all of that. Because video is built directly into the platform, there's no bot to join, no third-party API to maintain, and no recording handoff to manage. The call happens on our infrastructure, so we have direct access to the media streams. Processing starts the moment the call ends.
The cost savings from owning the video layer are what let us bundle call intelligence into a $50/seat plan that also includes scheduling, AI matching, and no-show prediction.
MeetMatch Pro ($50/seat/mo) includes: scheduling, built-in video, AI-powered rep matching, no-show prediction and shielding, call recording, transcription, AI summaries, talk-time analytics, sentiment analysis, and DISC profiling. All in one tool.
What Gong does that MeetMatch doesn't (yet)
We're not claiming feature parity with a tool that's been focused exclusively on conversation intelligence for years. Here's where Gong still has an edge:
Deal intelligence and forecasting. Gong aggregates signals across multiple calls in a deal pipeline to predict deal outcomes. MeetMatch predicts no-show risk and close probability per meeting, but doesn't yet aggregate signals across a multi-touch sales cycle.
Coaching scorecards. Gong lets managers define call scoring criteria and automatically grade calls against them. MeetMatch provides raw analytics (talk ratio, questions, sentiment) but doesn't yet have configurable scoring templates.
Email and LinkedIn tracking. Gong captures communication across channels beyond calls. MeetMatch focuses on scheduled meetings.
Library and playlists. Gong's call library lets teams organize recordings into coaching playlists and share highlights. MeetMatch recordings currently download locally (cloud storage with dashboard playback is on our roadmap).
For teams that live in Gong's full platform and use deal intelligence to forecast their pipeline, switching to MeetMatch's call intelligence alone wouldn't make sense. But most sales teams we talk to are using maybe 20% of Gong's features and paying 100% of the price.
Who this is actually for
MeetMatch call intelligence fits teams that:
- Want call analytics but can't justify Gong's price. At $50/seat vs $100+/seat, the math is straightforward. A 10-person team saves $6,000-$12,000/year.
- Are already looking for a scheduling tool. If you're comparing Calendly, Chili Piper, or Cal.com, MeetMatch replaces the scheduling tool AND adds call intelligence. One vendor, one bill.
- Need one platform. Scheduling in Calendly, video on Zoom, analytics in Gong. That's three tools, three contracts, three points of failure. MeetMatch consolidates all of it.
- Want AI matching AND call intelligence. No other tool combines ML-powered prospect routing with post-call analysis. The matching model can eventually incorporate call analytics to improve future routing decisions.
If you're a 50-person enterprise team with a six-figure Gong contract and custom integrations into Salesforce, Outreach, and Snowflake, this probably isn't for you. If you're a 5-20 person team that wants the core value of call intelligence without the enterprise price tag, this is exactly what we built it for.
Local recording: free on every plan
Even if you're on the Free or Team plan and don't have access to the AI pipeline, you can still record calls. Every salesperson sees a "Record" button during built-in video meetings. Click to start, click to stop, download the audio file.
This gives reps the ability to:
- Review their own calls before writing follow-ups
- Share recordings with their manager for ad-hoc coaching
- Keep a personal archive of important conversations
The recordings save as .webm audio files and download directly to the rep's machine. It's not a replacement for a full call intelligence platform, but for a free feature with zero configuration, it covers the basics.
How the pipeline works (for the technical readers)
For those who want to understand the architecture:
- Meeting happens on MeetMatch's built-in video (powered by LiveKit WebRTC)
- Room finishes and LiveKit sends a webhook to MeetMatch
- Transcription runs through OpenAI Whisper (verbose_json with timestamps), then heuristic speaker diarization assigns segments to rep vs. prospect
- Analytics extraction processes the transcript for talk ratio, silence, questions, interruptions, response latency, WPM, and filler words
- AI summary sends the full transcript to Claude (primary) or GPT-4o (fallback) for structured JSON extraction: summary, key points, action items, objections, buying signals, competitor mentions, sentiment
- Results are stored and surfaced on the appointment detail page within a few minutes of the call ending
The entire pipeline is async. It doesn't slow down the meeting or the disconnect. The rep sees "Meeting Ended," goes back to the dashboard, and by the time they open the appointment, the intelligence is there.
